You must have your bird examined by a licensed veterinarian of your choice within seven (10) days of adoption. If your bird, in the opinion of the veterinarian, has any physical problems considered to be life-threatening, you should contact us and benefit from the health guarantee that we offer.
In the case where you would prefer a bird replacement and there are no birds available, one will be provided from the next available litter. If you choose a bird of greater value, then you will be responsible for the cost difference.
To make a claim you must contact us and return your bird back to us within(7) seven days of your visit to your vet. You need not worry about the displacement charges as we’ll be glad to take care of those. Also, you will need to provide a signed statement from the veterinarian proving the date of examination and an explanation as to why the bird is a poor health risk. The statement must include a description of the symptoms supporting the opinions.
In the case of the death of your bird within the 2 years time frame, an analysis must be made by our veterinarian or a neutral Vet to determine the cause of death and to ensure that this was not caused by your negligence of the bird during its stay with you. Proper care of your adopted bird must include all vaccinations recommended by your veterinarian.
